Halifax Regional operates its Emergency Care Center from the first floor of the Medical Center. ­The entrance is well marked.  Annually, we treat more than 40,000 visitors a year.  Our physicians and nurses have received special training in emergency medicine.

The Emergency Room is for serious illnesses and injuries that need to be treated promptly.
